Artist Showcase: Adele

I remember Itunes luring me in that come hither motion, to try out Adele's now hit song, Hometown Glory, a few years back. I absolutely adored it. I felt her voice sounded like a spoken word artist! Adele has one of those special voices filled with earth, and poetry. You can hear the experiences she's had seeping from her voice. It's also lovely to hear someone that hasn't been digitally synthesized. I also love her style! I tend to draw closer to artists with retro, eclectic styles.  My favorites from her first album 19 are: Melt My Heart To Stone, Hometown Glory, Daydreamer, Feel My Love, and Chasing Pavements.

The novel that I'm writing centers on music, and how it runs through each character, causing them to evolve, love, feel, and move through life dreaming. Adele is one of the artists who's inspired my work! She's one of those artists that make you more yourself, if that makes any sense! As opposed to making you want to be someone else, or covetous.
