My name is Britta, and I am from New York City. I've recently moved to Wales to pursue my MA in Creative Writing. I love my Saviour, Jesus Christ, and seek to please Him in all that I do! I would like to follow in the lines of J.K. Rowling and become a successful novelist. I love the cartography of storytelling! I love all sorts of whimsical things, art, bibliophilia, old and weathered places, jewelry. I'm often drawn to people/places/things that are eclectic, strong, and unconventional. I love coloured hair, especially vibrant reds, pinks, and blues. My favorite drink is Tazo Chai Tea Latte. As much as I detest the hills of 'sunny' Bangor (where I live in Wales), I quite love the surroundings, and how clouds pile high above me like cream frothing in my cup of chocolate! I love all types of photographs, polaroids, Lomography, the works.
I've recently been given this blog some serious thought; pondering what direction I would like to go with it. I want to make this a wonderful place of inspiration. I've changed the name of the blog to Forelsket, which is Danish for 'the euphoria you experience when you are first falling in love.' I think it best defines the type of posts I would love to post: being in love with everyday life! At this point you all know that I love creativity, writing, whimsy, music, and some aspects of fashion. I've adored blogs like Wish Wish Wish, and other's for their photographic/fashion loveliness, however, there's really no point in trying to model myself after them.
Here's what you will see here:
- Meanderings on books, movies, literature, and writing.
- God (Christianity, Bible Study)
- Music
- Fashion.
- Whimsies
- Encouraging/Inspirational Posts for confidence, love, and art!
Really, anything that suits my fancy. I'm not sure what to label this blog, but I know I would love for it to contain well written articles on the things/ways in which to love your life, and personable accounts of how I love my own life.
Blogs like WishWishWish and Charade Style, have in many ways become a guide to writing about what you love, all the while presenting a professional work of art. Thus is my goal for Forelsket.
Note: The background was found on We Heart It. If it is yours, I will gladly credit you! Most of the pictures here will be sourced at the bottom of posts. Any photograph not sourced is mine.
I love the new header, and this post you made about your new "mission statement". I am so happy that you have found your purpose for your blog. I can't wait to read your future posts, as I have a feeling you're going to be greatly inspiring :)
ReplyDeleteOn FB, I asked if you wanted me to change your layout up a bit, let me know.
love the name of your blog, it also is a word in Norwegian, so I thought maybe you was first. :)
