Bella Swan is the ultimate symbol of woman who is comfortable in her own skin; who is not bothered by trends, or pressured to 'glamorize' herself. If you would like to enhance your own style with different accents that may appeal to the Twilight Saga heroine herself, do not feel daunted. It is quite simple!
The one thing to keep in mind is that Bella Swan is, above all else, natural and comfortable. If at any point you feel as if you are too dolled up with make up and jewelry, you are going in a different direction.
Bella Swan's clothing choices are simplistic and feminine. She can 'hang with the boys,' ready herself for a fishing trip with Charlie, or she can pull an outfit together for a romantic evening with Edward without changing her personal style.
You definitely want to find a good pair of blue jeans, comfortable yet slightly form fitting. Stores like the Gap, New York and Company, and H & M are great places to start, the last two being more affordable. Perhaps you might consider switching the colors up a bit to include more neutral browns, or even a velour textured pair to dress up an outfit.
When it comes to shirts, we're talking about form fitting tees, V-necks, collared plaid, sweaters, and layering. The Gap specializes in Essential Cotton Long Sleeved tee shirts, which are almost exact replicas of the tees showcased in both films. They are soft cotton for comfort; form fitting and scoop necked, which adds a lovely feminine touch. They run between $19 and $25. Try for colors like light pink, grays, and white.
As Bella's wardrobe evolves, shirts with greater feminine accents are incorporated, such as the peasant shirt Kristen Stewart dons during the deleted scenes of Twilight. Achieving a Bella inspired look leaves lots of room for incorporating soft, and feminine accents. Shoot for styles like the infamous forest green dress worn during the birthday scene in New Moon. A replica of the dress can be purchased from Hot Topic at $98 and $128 (plus sized). For striking it on your own, think milky pinks, neutral colors, slight floral incorporations, and embroidered sweaters that can be layered (example: See how Bella layers her V-necked sweater over her purple floral shirt in the first classroom scene of New Moon).
Last, but not least in the way of apparel, sneakers! Converses, Keds, any sneaker that is simplistic! Don't forget to supply yourself with a couple of rain and snow boots for that unpredictably wet Pacific Northeast weather!
Bella Swan's hair, especially as portrayed by the films, is always free flowing, loosely curled as it falls to her shoulders. To achieve this look in a hurry, use a large barreled curling iron, and curl the ends of your hair. If you are preparing your hair overnight, use large rollers, and roll your ends loosely. Once the curls have set for a bit, lightly comb through it. If you are a real Bella enthusiast, run your fingers through it, so that you achieve this tousled, naturally curled look. You can spray a bit of hair sheen through it to achieve desired shine, grab a dark colored, thin headband, and boom! You're done!
Creating a Bella Swan inspired style is so much more than throwing together something plain. It's about putting together all of those beautiful things that accentuate your natural beauty and personality. Bella's style encompasses a clean, candid beauty that allows for a tumble sometimes. This is what Edward ultimately loves her for: her natural blush, the scent of her strawberry shampoo, and the fragrance of freesias that she naturally gives off.

Hey, I just retweeted this post, but I had to say that I love what you wrote! You're really good at the fashion angle as well. :) And I LOVE the green dress with Converse, even though I'm usually more girly. Keep it up, bb! <3
