Style Through Her Eyes/Lomo Opportunity

More news! This seems to be a huge scoring week for me. I was asked by Jennifer, the creator of She: Style Through Her Eyes  , to join her team of contributors! SHE is a blog showcasing lovely fashion and style, so come check us out! Feel free to peep my latest post on Hayley's lovely bow dress!

Next, After emailing those lovely people from Lomography, they thought my article idea was good, and are giving me an opportunity to write a blog entry!

All of these happenings are hilarious to me. I went from writer in hiding, to published online! It's fabulous! As soon as they post the article, I'll post it here in all its sparkly glory!

"What is the use of a book, without pictures or conversations?"

Hot Topic has taken a tumble down the rabbit hole. I'm not quite sure if I am a fan of Alice and Wonderland, but as far as gear goes, it's some of the quirkiest, lovely finds I've seen for a movie in a while. Whoever thought up the bow hair clips had me in mind!

So far, this bag is my favorite!

See these Ray Bans?

Photobucket

After a year of seeing these all around, I've fallen in love with them, in any color.
But when I tried them on, I kinda looked like Steve Urkel, or really nerdy.

Now that could have just been because my hair was up in its perpetual bun, but it might look different if I get my hair done and wear it out.

But I need to be a swanky professor, and since I am bound to need glasses anyway, I might as well grab a pair thats equally unique as economical.

My Question: Should I buy some anyway and make the world love them on me? or Should I just accept the fact that they don't fit my face shape?

real comments are appreciated! I <3 you.

Thrift Shop Professor

Happy New Years!

Hope it all came in bright and sparkling for you!

After perusing bloglovin, I noticed that bloglovin recommended a new blog for followers of mine.
Up and coming author, Laura Jane Cassidy, writes her personal blog "First Three Chapters." It pairs the love of books and writing, with pop culture, fashion, recommendations, inspiring quotes/photographs, and her own journey towards publishing her debut novel, Angel Kiss (to be published by Puffin in 2011). I was drawn to the blog for obvious reasons, but her love for Paramore and Twilight sealed the deal for me! Check out her blog!

Another section of her blog that I found quite fun, are her entries on Literary Style! Awesome Idea. So, I now unveil my new blog tag: Thrift Shop Professor, based on her collages on Polyvore! Thanks LJ!

Now that I'm a postgrad, It has me pondering on the day I'll be a Professor.  I've always wanted to be the funkiest professor students have ever seen. In school, professors I remember are those who step out of the box, and taught dreams, and love, and dedication, instead of being pretentious wind bags. I want to inspire, and help others realize their writing dreams, and I want to be stylish while doing it.

There's much much more to come! I can't wait to teach in these threads! Away with that boxy suit! Away!

Cheers
