"Nothing Makes Me Stronger Than Your Fragile Heart..."

Photobucket

I'm sure you guys already saw this coming, and perhaps wondered what was taking me so long to post a Breaking Dawn tribute. I cannot contain my excitement right now! What makes this all the more exciting is that I didn't spend the past year fangirling so hard that by the time I actually see the film, I'm simply 'whelmed.' I wasn't a huge fan of Breaking Dawn, and whenever I think about it, I just think...'what?' Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the wedding, the honeymoon, and all of the stomach fluttering romance! Everything I've seen thus far looks so beautiful, I can't wait. I feel like this will be some of the best performances we've seen out of our favorite people. It's weird, but I feel like I'll probably cry through most of the heart-wrenching scenes. I'll even be the dork and admit that I feel like someone close to me is getting married. I can't help it...

The Breaking Dawn Soundtrack, as is usual of Twilight soundtracks, is wonderful! There are so many beautiful love songs and instrumentals. My favorites include Iron & Wine's special wedding rendition of 'Flightless Bird, American Mouth,' Christina Perri's 'A Thousand Years,' Carter Burwell's 'Love Death Birth,' and Turning Page by Sleeping At Last. Turning Page is especially beautiful, and I couldn't help doing a ukulele cover of it. It perfectly embodies Edward's love for Bella, and is Midnight Sun in song. It's my first cover in a long while, but I'm happy with it!

I hope you guys like it!

What are your favorite songs from the soundtrack, and what are you looking forward to most in the film? The Wedding? The Honeymoon? The heinous birthing scene?

I pilfered this lovely meme from Laura. I just had to do it! It's hard to condense everything to four, especially in music/novel categories. Here are some random loves that I just can't leave out.

These two are HUGE inspirations for me!

Kristen Stewart

Fav Parts: Martine | The Yellow Handkerchief and Georgia | The Cake Eaters

Why?: Because she takes great risks with the roles she chooses
and does an excellent job! She actually thinks out her roles.
She tends to take a lot of flack just because she's herself,
and I'll always admire the way she lives her life unabashedly!
I adore young actors, especially, who are not trying to be the next eye candy,
or become teeny bopping idols (much to the irony of Twilight). They desire to create
things with meaning and substance.

Robert Pattinson

Fav Parts: Daniel Gayle | The Bad Mother's Handbook, Tyler Hawkins | Remember Me

Why?: I've loved him prior to his Twilight Hype! I adore that he's just a regular guy.
He's shy, he reads books, very humble, and also another actor trying his best not to
fall into the status quo. He tediously thinks out every role, and tries to make sure that
he adds something deeper. I think you can tell that he's not just one of those 'pretty boys'
looking for as much attention as he can get. I can also tell that he's a deep thinker.

Most people agree, or not, depending on whether they love the Twilight Series. But (even being an avid Twi fan), I tend to want to view them outside of this realm. They have tons more to bring than just Edward and Bella, and I look forward to seeing their careers blossom!

Thus, most of my loves. Although, It would take an entire scroll to really list them all!

(Harpers Bazaar December 2009 Issue)

{"The first symptom of love in a young man is shyness; the first symptom in a woman, it's boldness."}
-Victor Hugo

T
his is the very best photo shoot that our own, Edward and Bella, have ever done! I chose the quote to go along with it because they all seemed to have this aura of young love: excitement, romance, exclusivity. The last photograph is one of my favorites of the set, because it has this beautiful gothic atmosphere, imbuing intimacy and secrecy.

I would like to think that new love is characterized both by a sense of personal familiarity and capriciousness. On one hand, you know the color of their eyes, what books they love, the bashfulness in the way they eye you under their lids and turn red. You know the music of their laugh, the tone of their voices at two a.m., how they feel about people and their favorite nooks.

On the other hand, you can't know what they are thinking. You could run away with them, and think you have their movements pinned down, and they turn around and do something all the more bewildering, perhaps beguiling,  than you thought could be.

Remember when you fell in love for the first time? All those emotions that made you feel like a teenager, running through the streets in the rain with your hand in theirs? In that moment, home is wherever their hands were.
